About Us

TECHMET was established in 1985 in Wadeville, Germiston, and is part of the Techmet Group, The head office and factory are based in Wadeville, east of Johannesburg, with sales offices in Cape Town, Durban and East London. We have ISO 9000 accreditation and use IPC standards in our process technology.

The Techmet’s production range includes solder, anodes, powders, paste, flux and wire to the industrial market, as well as lead free solder, smt paste, flux, wire and equipment to the electronic industry.

We supply a full range of SMT equipment from international suppliers. We set up and verify customer line output faults, service and maintain smt equipment, test solder pastes, evaluate the quality of soldered pcb’s, assist on qualification of pcb assembly line quality, and do a full chemical analysis on the customer’s solder quality (metallurgical and physical), etc.

Most of the staff has more than 10 years experience in the PCB assembly industry and are qualified chemists or engineers. Techmet has a large market share in South Africa and trust that this is due to our policy of direct and daily customer service with quality products.
